Migraine Resource Network is a comprehensive educational initiative for clinicians seeking current and emerging information on migraine headache. Our mission is to provide ongoing medical education that embodies evidence-based scientific data, current treatment strategies, and the insightful knowledge of expert faculty. Our goal is to support your ongoing dedication to optimizing treatment outcomes for your patients.
The treatment guidelines included in this section of the Migraine Resource Network were developed by a multidisciplinary consortium of health care professionals who provide care to patients with migraine. Led by the American Academy of Neurology, the US Headache Consortium included representatives from the American Academy of Family Physicians, the AAN, the American Headache Society, the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American College of Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, and the National Headache Foundation. The goal of this group was to provide health care professionals with standardized guidelines and strategies for reducing attacks, improving response to medication and restoring patients’ ability to function.1 Guidelines are included which support clinical practices for
